Spring Clean-Up Guide
Tips, tricks, and resources to getting your home ready for Spring cleaning
Wondering where to start? Cleaning is much easier once you've cleared out the clutter.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Grab a laundry basket, cardboard box and a trash bag. Turn on some energizing music.
Start in the entry way of your home. This is the area that not only welcomes you home, but also welcomes your guests. (Or in the case of a seller, the first impression that a buyer has of your home!)
Put everything that doesn't belong in this area in the laundry basket. Put all items that you no longer want to keep in the cardboard box. Any trash goes in the trash bag. Move on to the kitchen, dining room and living room. Do a quick sweep through these areas, filling the cardboard box with items for donating, recycling or for a garage sale.

Next, do this sweep again through the bedrooms. Move on to the storage areas, linen closets and bathrooms. Did you find clothing that no longer fits or that you haven't worn in one year?

Buyers love to see clutter-free spaces. Clean off as many surfaces as you can so that you create a sense of spaciousness in your home.
